4th Street Theater Presents Grant Fitch in a One-Man “A Christmas Carol”
Chesterton, IN – October 22, 2025 – Back by popular demand, this holiday season, 4th Street Theater invites audiences to experience Charles Dickens’ beloved classic in a whole new way with A Christmas Carol, adapted and performed by Grant Fitch. This unique one-man production runs November 29, 30, and December 6 & 7, 2025, offering a fresh, intimate, and deeply engaging take on the timeless tale.
In this masterful adaptation, Fitch brings to life over two dozen characters—from the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge to the heartwarming Cratchit family and the unforgettable ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. With just his voice, movement, and a few evocative props, Fitch conjures Dickens’ London and takes the audience on Scrooge’s transformative journey of redemption.
“This version strips the story down to its beating heart,” says Fitch. “It’s just me, the words of Dickens, and the audience’s imagination working together to bring the magic alive.”
Perfect for families, literature lovers, and anyone in need of holiday cheer, this intimate staging captures both the humor and the haunting beauty of the original novella while offering the immediacy of live, personal storytelling.
