SLEEPING INDOORS
4th Street Theater announces its upcoming production of Sleeping Indoors, a play by Jim Holt, opening on March 8, 2024 and running through March 24.
This play, with its unique blend of wit, charm, and thought-provoking themes promises to encourage audiences to examine the idea of what “living life well” means.
Sleeping Indoors is a contemporary play that explores the complexities of human relationships, personal growth, and the pursuit of happiness. Written by acclaimed playwright Jim Holt, the story follows a small group of characters brought together by fate and circumstance. As their lives intertwine, the play delves into the nuances of friendship, identity, and the universal quest for a sense of home.
The talented cast and crew of 4th Street Theater have been hard at work, bringing this engaging production to life. "We are excited to present 'Sleeping Indoors,' a play that resonates with the human experience in a way that is both humorous and heartfelt," says Director, Amy Briseno of Valparaiso. "Jim Holt has crafted a narrative that invites reflection and connection, and our team is dedicated to delivering a memorable and enriching experience for our audiences."
The cast includes Kristina Hanna (Nichole) of Chesterton, Jerry McClure (Paul) of Valparaiso, Sarah Morris (Nora) of Chesterton and Jimmy Rau (Dwain) of Munster. Angela Heid of Kingsford Heights is lighting and sound designer; other designers are Kevin Doler of Chesterton (sets) and Stanlee Hodsden of Valparaiso (costumes and specialty props). Production photography is by Jeff Nicholls of Crown Point.
4th Street Theater is a 50-seat gem that has won over 100 regional theatre awards for excellence in Northwest Indiana.
